February 9, 2014

Today I ate my emotions and they tasted like chocolate and coconut rice. I am not proud of this. I blame it on the realization that a silly slip on the ice is going to sideline me for at least a week, if not longer.

I’m starting to feel like every time I get into a groove with running, something happens to throw me off. I guess it’s a good thing that for once it’s not a leg injury, but still. Major frustration. Plus, I was just breaking through a plateau in my bench and this will be a huge setback.

Calling on all my powers of positive thinking tonight. Here’s hoping I have enough range of motion to at least run in a few days. That will keep me going for the month or so these types of injuries apparently take to heal. In the meantime I have to make sure my emotions start tasting like salad instead of sugar!
