I’ve been running even more than usual lately because there isn’t much else I can do in the gym.  It’s an interesting switch, having to focus on running while I  rehab an arm injury. Usually I’m distracting myself with weights and various types of cardio while recuperating from another in a long list of lower body injuries.  So as much as it’s sucked being hurt, it’s also been a nice change of pace.

I’ve seen a huge improvement with endurance in the past little bit, especially with sprint intervals and tempo runs. It feels like all the speed work from the past few months is paying off…on the treadmill anyway.  Can’t wait for spring and morning runs through the city, because as we all know though, the real test is out on the road. The Yonge St 10K is my first race of the year and I’m looking to beat last year’s time (48:59) and come in under 45 minutes. Less than two months to go!
