Spring Forward

Sooooo sleepy.

I hate time change day. As someone who gets up early anyway, moving the clocks forward usually means I’m dragging myself out of bed sometime in the middle of the night. I did pretty well this morning though, managing to stay in bed until 7am (really 6am), which is a huge improvement over the last couple of years. I guess I just really don’t understand wanting an extra hour of daylight over the extra hour of sleep. Granted this is probably because I have little life and go to bed at 9pm whether it’s still light out or not.

It did give me a great excuse to indulge in a nap this afternoon while Ian and the kids were out and about. 45 minutes of  sleep in a perfectly quiet house…sign me up! Woke up, had a handful of chocolate chips along with my protein shake and now I’m ready for round two of family birthday celebrations this evening. My running theory is that the stomach filling protein will keep me from indulging in some less-than-healthy options at the restaurant AND I’ll turn down desert because I’ll still have the memory of those chocolate chips. Let’s see if it holds up!

  1. Yes, I am very happy with an extra hour of daylight!! I made sure to sleep in some today so I feel okay! I love that you ate a handful of chocolate chips with your protein shake! Yum!!
